Granny didn’t use moisturisers

What did Granny put on her skin?

Does this ring any bells?


Granny managed with a bar of soap and maybe some Pond's Cold Cream for her face. Body moisturiser ? It didn't exist.

Many people find that shower gels and other liquid skincare products are too effective at removing the oils from their skin and leave them parched.


If you suffer from dry, itchy skin you really need to ask yourself whether your wash products suit your skin.


Do you know what is lurking in your moisturiser?


 Look out for the words sodium laureth sulphate, sodium lauryl sulphate and cocamidopropyl betaine 
on the labels of your skincare.






The two former are detergents used in washing up liquids and the last was named "Allergen of the Year 2004" by the American Contact Dermatitis Society. None of them are toxins but since their widespread use rates of moisturiser use have rocketed : do the maths!



Look for yourself- I promise you will be surprised and don't let the hype put you off: some of the ranges which contain them are ones you would least expect!
